Every summer since 1987, Troop 101 leaves Marysville on Fathers’ Day around 9am and heads Northeast to Kensington, Ohio to spend the week with over 500 Scouts and Scouts from all over Ohio and many other states at the Buckeye Council’s Seven Ranges Summer Camp. It is located in Northern Carroll County, and encompasses nearly 900 acres of rolling hills, woods, meadows, lakes and ponds.
During the week the Scouts work on merit badges such as Swimming, Kayaking, Lifesaving, Leatherwork, Basketry, Indian Lore, Pioneering, Camping, Cooking, Rifle Shooting, Shotgun Shooting, Archery and many, many more. The Pipestone Camp Honors program keeps our Scouts coming back year after year.
Most meals are served family style in the Frank G Hoover Dining Hall and if you go hungry, its your own fault. The week provides the opportunity to enjoy the outdoors and to grow as Scouts.
